U19 2024 is the 15th International Cricket Federation Under-19 Cricket Championship to be held in Sri Lanka from January to February 2024. This marks the third time Sri Lanka has hosted the event, following 2006 and 2000, making it the second country after New Zealand to host the event three times. Team India will defend their title status as they battle to compete in this prestigious youth cricket event.

qualifications:

  • One team automatically qualifies for the 2024 World Cup, and the other five teams compete through regional qualifiers, with one qualifier team from each ICC Development Zone. The first qualifying round will take place in August 2022 in the European second tier qualifiers.


Highlights:

  • In the Asian qualifiers, Nepal defeated the United Arab Emirates and became the first team to successfully advance through the regional qualifiers, injecting additional honors and expectations into U19 2024.
